The first lustrous light of dawn,
Like the season’s first red rose to open,
Like the downbeat in your favorite song.
Worth the wait.
A pulse born to modulate.
A natural rhythm
we seize upon for the solace of what’s constant.

Thanks so very much! I took the picture a couple weeks ago at a visit to the beach, and the huts were just there. In fact, the sun rose behind one of them, which interrupted the chance for a sunrise photo. Although it was one of my favorite photos, I didn’t think to interpret the huts nearly as creatively as you. Your brain functions with a poetic operating system.

We do indeed seize upon these constants. Thanks for the beautiful reminder in words and image.

Thanks! Something I added somewhat later in the writing process. Wasn’t sure folks would find it relatable.
