I feel that way whenever I return a year later to hiking and camping in the Cleveland National Forest– only to see that some special spots in nature have not changed forever.

Yes, it’s good to recognize a favorite tree or patch of flowers or just a view and see that it’s survived another year.

For me it’s Letchworth State Park in upstate New York. My parents honeymooned there 72 years ago.
