Walks are good for thinking. They’re settling. You get time to spend pondering whatever’s on your mind.
There’s something I can’t quite bring to focus. And it’s not what I’d expect.
… I’m ready for cold …
I’m ready for a cold December morning when a few flakes of snow float in the neutral nothing of a dismal day, or whatever they do when it’s December and not yet the hard bitter cold of January’s winter.
Hmmm … cloudy skies and long walks.

I like November and December, too—the cold and the cozy. I am definitely a northern woman.

I think the early part of summer, well, all of summer, and the cold parts of winter are my favorite times of the year.

I love to walk and try to walk every day. The only days I skip are when it is windy and/or damp. If it’s cold and sunny and not windy, I enjoy it.

I like to walk as much as I can too. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.

I agree! I usually ride and my horse walks but it is a good break for my mind.
