forsythia, harbinger, spring

harbinger

a gray chill and bare trees
still in a state of waiting
but …
yellow buds
bring a glimpse of spring

  1. Your summer crier is my winter prophet. We can’t wait for a long, wet Cape Town winter. Temperatures in the city reached the high 30s with 40+ within a radius of a hundred miles. Centigrade, that is, with humidity of 90 to 100%.

Can’t wait to see the fishies’ gene pool whipped up to eight metre swells and storm sewer lids dancing on jets of water in the streets again.

    1. We do live in a crazy world, don’t we? I notice most with tennis tournaments…in Australia. We’re looking to spring, and someone else is heading to fall.
